If you didn’t take a photo in front of the Forsyth Park Fountain, did you even visit Savannah? There is nothing more recognizable. That’s why we put it at the top of the List of Savannah’s Most Instagrammable Spots. Hint: visiting this spot in the early morning is best for photo taking. The clearing of magnolias surrounding the fountain means it receives really harsh afternoon light. This photo above is facing the North side of the fountain.

Book your stay close to Forsyth Park at our Park House Studios or guest favorite, Delia Row.

2. The Paris Market Cafe

Located within (and just outside) of arguably the most sought after boutique in Savannah, The Paris Market Cafe is an Instagram blogger's dream backdrop. Grab a latte and French macaron and enjoy people watching from their sidewalk bistro chairs.

3. Johnson Square

Downtown's oldest and largest square, Johnson Square is located on Bull Street just one block South of Bay Street. It's home to two fountains and a historic, 50-foot monument dedicated to General Nathaniel Greene. The square is surrounded by winding oak trees and due to its size, it's easy to grab a photo without many people in the background.

Stay close to Johnson Square at our Bay Street Lofts or Grant Collection

4. Peregrin Rooftop Bar at Perry Lane Hotel

Yes, River Street tends to be one of the more busy parts of town, but its worth an attempt to grab a photo in front of the bridge. This photo was taken directly across the street from Olympia Cafe, and even with a few photobombers, it perfectly captures the picturesque Savannah riverfront. If you are feeling up for taking it to the next level, hop on the free ferry (that leaves very close from here) and take your Savannah River Street photo from the water!

Stay close to River Street at our Savannah Riverview or Bay Street Lofts.

6. Wormsloe Plantation

A Savannah photo shoot staple; the long dirt path leading towards Wormsloe Plantation is well worth the 20-minute drive outside of Savannah's downtown area. If you're on the hunt for the perfect shot, early morning (at gate's open) or dusk is best as you want to avoid cars driving up and down the road.

7. The Grove

You can’t go wrong with a rooftop restaurant & bar. This one is nestled off of Congress street with views of City Market and some of Savannah's oldest brick buildings. Order one of their extremely photgenic charcuterie boards and “Champagne Pops” to complete the look (and to enjoy).

8. Cathedral of St. John the Baptist

This magically captivating building makes for the perfect backdrop for your quintessential Savannah IG photo. The architecture alone makes for an amazing photo, so adding in your group of friends or even just yourself is the cherry on top. If you drop by in the afternoons, you're likely to get lucky and catch a horse-drawn carriage rolling by. After the photo shoot is finished, we HIGHLY suggest strolling through this grand masterpiece as the inside is just as breathtaking as the outside.
