So much to say about this place. The location - amazing, the design - beautiful, the bed - comfortable.
We had an amazing stay here for 3 nights while we were in town for a wedding. My wife and I both worked remotely from the rental unit on the first night, then proceeded to enjoy the silence and ambiance of the unit for the next two nights. During our stay we found ourselves walking around Forsyth park or into town quite often, the location is unbeatable!
Our favorite part of the trip was our final night there where we spent the evening in the courtyard and were able to meet the hosts as well as the other tenet. It was a perfect atmosphere.
I do not know how soon we will be back in Savannah but next time we come, we will absolutely be looking for this unit again. 10/10!

A nice little place, very quiet and Private. You do need to climb some spiral stairs to access. It might be difficult with large luggage...but if you pack light it is totally worth it.

I recently stayed at this charming apartment and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is fantastic, with nearby free parking for those who are resourceful. The neighborhood is quiet and offers easy access to restaurants, parks, squares, SCAD, and the historic district. Additionally, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the bathroom was spacious, with a hot shower and an ample supply of towels. The functioning AC added to the comfort of the stay, although it was a bit noisy.
On the downside, the access to the apartment door is through an alley that is cluttered with trashcans, which may not be ideal for some guests. The steep and somewhat intimidating stairway leading to the door could pose a challenge for individuals with mobility issues. Furthermore, there was a significant amount of light intrusion during the night, which affected the overall ambiance of the apartment.
The kitchen, although equipped with essentials like paper towels, dish soap, and a sponge, felt a bit cramped and lacked some basic cooking essentials due to limited space and a small fridge. The absence of items like salt, pepper, cooking oil, and condiments made it less user-friendly for those who enjoy cooking during their stay.
In summary, this apartment is a cozy and convenient choice for those seeking a peaceful retreat in a prime location. However, potential guests should consider the accessibility challenges and the limited kitchen amenities before booking their stay.

Extremely clean, well appointed property in the perfect location! This was originally supposed to be a couples trip but we ended up having to bring our 4 year old. There was plenty of room for a toddler bed to be put in the corner. Would definite chose this property again. Our single complaint is that there is a street light outside of the window which brightens the room. Could use a black out curtain or require the person staying to bring an eye mask. Street was quiet.

We decided to head to Savannah for the weekend and found this place. It was great, well within walking distance of most places we wanted to go. It was clean and quite comfortable. We would definitely stay again. There were only a few negatives. First, there needs to be a better description of the location. The gates and doors are in the alley, West Gordon lane, not West Gordon Street. There isn’t a sign on the alley telling you it is W. Gordon Lane, but the GPS did show it, you just need to look! Next, and the description did have it, but the spiral stairs up to the unit are challenging. And my wife and I don’t have physical issues, it is just steep! We loved that it is dog friendly, but not the steps, I had to carry our 40 lb puppy up and down! But overall, we really enjoyed the stay and would definitely rent it again!

Hello, my wife and I found the unit to be extremely comfortable. The air conditioning worked beautifully during the humid weather. The closet near the fridge needs a light to see and the door lock into the unit would not always open. You had to try the combo several times to get it to catch. The spiral staircase was fine for us but would be difficult for someone with mobility issues. Other than that, it was perfect for a short term stay.

Great place for us. We really liked the set up and the location. We did have problems with the internet so it was a good thing we don't watch much TV. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful location. Lovely space - but important to note the spiral staircase is not for the elderly! Such a beautiful city and location --- could not have been a more perfect spot to spend Christmas this year. Wonderful that Savannah had holiday parking in effect so we did not have to pay at all until the last day for any parking!

The carriage house was clean, cozy, and close to everything. I’d definitely stay here again.

Had a good experience overall. Place was easy to find, good directions through email. It was small but cozy, quaint, and in a great location. Highly recommend

The location was great and I felt safe the whole time. The staircase was difficult to use with luggage. I almost dropped my suitcase a couple of times trying to get upstairs. The bathroom wasn’t very clean but the kitchen was spotless. The chairs could have been more comfortable. I used the bed instead to watch tv.

Finding the room was the hardest experience for us. We have stayed in over twenty places around the world, this one was rough. I think the owner just needs to say it's off the alley. We thought the entry was quaint. The room is in the heart of the historic district, so expect some evening noises. If you want to eat in, in can be tricky with the small table and stools? That being said the location is awesome. Walk anywhere in no time. It is safe, clean, and the bed is very nice. If you have a car, then you have to be on the lookout. They will charge you during the day, so we parked in the downtown lot to save time. The little kitchen was fine, and the small courtyard was a retreat we liked.

It was very cute however we were bummed that the place had quite a bit of sugar ant infestation in the bathroom and kitchen sink area. Would highly suggest owners to take care of that problem before letting anyone else stay. Super cute place but I think it would also benefit from a bed upgrade. The room is small anyhow so may as well have king size bed to really feel comfy at night. No dishwasher although it says there is one. Overall... I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. Best part was the great location although it’s a bit challenging navigating the tiny spiral staircase. Wouldn’t recommend this location for anything longer than a weekend or just over.

Great little spot with everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. Double security coded doors, cool little shared outdoor area, Washer and dryer not in unit but available at the bottom of spiral staircase. The only issue was it was a little buggy. A few roaches and a ton of Book Lice in the bathroom, they are harmless but not what you want crawling all over the toilet and the sink. Hopefully they will do a little spraying for them.

The property was very unique, accessed through an alleyway and up a metal spiral staircase. I'm not from the South and was not familiar with "carriage homes" so I enjoyed the novelty of place. There is a peaceful little courtyard that I sat and drank coffee in the morning while reading. My wife and I were out exploring Savannah most of our trip, but the Bird's Nest made for a perfect place to crash and recharge.

Enjoyed staying here. The room was the perfect size and was a perfect walk away from the downtown and all the amentities.

The location of the rental was a perfect spot to be in the middle of most everything in Savannah to be able to walk. Room was very clean and maintained. Washer and dryer was a bonus.

Beautiful room and courtyard. Close to parks and restaurants. We unfortunately had to leave early due to our dog having an issue with the steep spiral metal staircase. The management company was accommodating. Wish it would have worked out but for the night we were there it was great.

I love the Bird's Nest Carriage house. It is quiet, clean, and the exact right amount of space for a stay in Savannah.

This gorgeous carriage house was full of character and the location was perfect for us since we wanted to frequent Forsyth Park. Everyday we would wake up and walk over to Collins Quarter, right in the park, for some great coffee. I highly recommens the space.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bird's Nest Carriage House as it was clean, cute, and conveniently located. The carriage house is about a mile from the river walk and right across the street from Forsyth Park. One thing to note is that the entrance is to the house is through the back alley which was no big deal just not stated directly in the instructions. There is a courtyard between the main house and the carriage house which the homeowner invited us to use anytime. We did notice some strange debris (cat-litter like) in the carpets and some tick prevention medicine behind the coffee maker. My allergies were acting up quite a bit during our stay so I take it someone before us had a cat with them during their visit. Not a big deal for us but just thought I'd mention so more thorough cleaning can be done in future :) Overall we were satisfied with our experience.

Beautiful, homey accommodations. Close to parks and easy to get around all areas of Savannah. I suggest getting a Visitor's parking pass from the City of Savannah. That's much easier than worrying about paying parking meters if you are staying for a while.

Lovely room with character, well located in the heart of Savannah. The only qualm I had was the height of the bathroom door. It is a bit low for anyone over 6 feet tall, but that is hardly an issue given the overall pleasantness of the space.

Overall, the location was in a good spot for walking to most historic sites. We found that 3 Uber/Lyft drivers got confused when looking for it because there is a Gordon Street which has the regular entrance and an alley called Gordon Lane that the carriage house entrance is on. The alleys are pretty well lit but if you get nervous about them, reconsider it. It is definitely a rustic, historical feel and I would say quaint if not for the “different” painting above the toilet with the eyes that seem to follow you. We could have used some kleenex and another set of towels for 3 nights. The owners were away but the lady who lived behind the courtyard was very nice and was available to us if we needed it. I felt very safe walking around there with my daughter. Streets are very quiet and residential.

The carriage house was cute and small and perfect for our length of stay. Spiral staircase was a bit tight to get up into, but the room was sweet and such a lovely location.

Great location, clean and charming. We really enjoyed our stay here, it was the perfect size for two people. Getting our luggage up the spiral staircase was a little tricky, but manageable. The only downside was that due to age of the building, there was a lot of outside noise coming in from the adjacent properties and the lane below. After the first night we got used to it, but it you are a light sleeper you may want to consider another property. The other item to note is that the bathroom has only a shower, not a tub/shower as listed. Again, not an issue for us, but may be for someone else.
