Walkers Paradise

I rarely give reviews but wanted to do so for Walkers Paradise to let people have enough info to help make a decision about whether to rent this place. The location is ideal. It is easy to walk everywhere and feels safe while walking even in the late hours. The check in was easy as there is a code to the door that is easy to operate. Now for the downside: 1. When we arrived the refrigerator was not working. Turned out someone had unplugged it. The owner came over in short order and figured it out and was very pleasant. 2. There was a very noticeable musty smell that I contributed to the age of the building. At first, I thought the smell might have been a gas leak but they do have a gas detector and a gas leak was not indicated. However, that takes me to point 3. There is a gas stove. But because of the overall lack of attention to maintenance it made me a little leery. 4. The couch and chairs were old and dirty. Fo They had extra sheets for the pull out sofa bed so we draped them over the couch & chair so we could sit on them. 5. The TV didn’t work when we got there. We finally figured out how to use after calling Lucky Savannah. Not a big deal as we were not in the apartment that much anyways. It was just an irritant. 6. The place was not well maintained. It could stand to have a full makeover. Peeling paint, marred walls, chipped baseboards, broken alarm clock, loose outlet sockets, etc. 7. Not very clean. I repeat not clean. 8. There are bars on the window which is a good safety feature for being on street level. However, if there was a fire and you can’t get to the door, you are trapped. Overall, I give this three stars and not less because of the location. Lucky Savannah was great to work with as they were friendly, responsive, and very good at communication.

The rental agency had to make a last minute change to our location and offered great alternatives. They were responsive and helpful through out. The place over all was great with lovely antique furnishings and very spacious. Unfortunately, on the last day, we did see one lone cockroach cross the floor. But in a ground level apartment in the humid summer of Savannah, that is not surprising. Not a single other bug of any kind the whole stay. The parking app was a great help and there was always parking nearby.

It is a beautiful small little place. That is in walking distance to everything in Savannah. I would highly recommend lucky Savannah in any of their locations.

Our first time to Savannah and this was a great place to stay. Good location. Very clean. King bed was super comfortable. The Lucky Savannah vacation rental employees were very helpful. One employee even drove over to help when we were having trouble figuring out how to lock the door the first time we went out.

Walkers Paradise is perfect name for my residence. Outside the door and your in the heart of beautiful old Savannah, with the Colonial Cemetery across the street, a must stop for ghost tours. This roomy space includes a very comfy king-size bed and a washer/dryer, a most welcome appliance on a long trip. You feel in the middle of this charming city without any city noise or traffic.

Property was clean, but felt that there could be improvement that would not cost the owners an out of money. The sofa has a lot to be desired. It was not comfortable to sit on, much less sleep on. Overall, it was a nice place and would return. The staff at Lucky Savannah was very professional. However, there was only 2 washcloths for 3 people all week. I texted the number that had been texting me and asked for more, but did not get a reply.
